In an event dated 22 November 2016 theexclusive agreement for Italy for the distribution of two SCA products, which officially enter the DBC product range.
It is about Grapho Silk And Grapho Style, rebranded by DBC, for single sheet sale, with the name "Tosca Silk" And "Tosca Style". The name Tosca, in addition to recalling a great classic of Italian opera, is the crasis of the words "Turin" (province in which DBC has its headquarters) and "SCA", the name of the producer of the raw material.
SCA: EXCELLENCE OF SELECTION IN RESPECT OF THE ENVIRONMENT
The modern SCA is a Swedish paper mill based in Sundsvall, 350 km north of Stockholm. Founded in 1929, its history has its roots up to the mid-seventeenth century: in 2016 it has a turnover of just under 15 billion euros.
SCA stands out on the market forvery high quality of the material produced And the highest attention to the environment: the convergence between these two factors is achieved thanks to the intensive reforestation policy undertaken by SCA.

Forests owned by SCA
SCA is the realization of the urban legend about "Scandinavian industries that cut down one tree and plant three": Well, SCA really does it, refuting the cliché of"paper mills responsible for deforestation". This is not the case at all.
Thanks to its large estates and to a avant-garde Research & Development department, SCA has for years undertaken an extremely targeted process of selecting plants (and therefore the wood fiber used). The project, developed in synergy with the University of Stockholm, led to the creation of a Nursery Tree inside the SCA paper mills, where i selected seeds they are planted and cultivated until they reach 80 cm on each plant.
At this point the shrubs are resistant enough to be transplanted outdoors, with very high rates of rooting: between 80 and 100 million shrubs planted every year are calculated.
In this way, each cut of part of the forest corresponds to a restocking at least twice as much: this also represents an advantage in terms of CO absorption2, if we take into account the fact that a young forest has a much higher disposal rate than an "old" forest.
This manufacturing technique allows SCA to machine one customized fiber, unique and designed to optimize the final product.
