SCA launches SCA Frontier, to offer printers and publishers a new solution to reconcile price competitiveness and quality yield.
It will be available in DBC Paper warehouses from the last week of July.
HAND USE WITH WOOD - SCA Frontier is a hand-made paper with a very high degree of whiteness: designed specifically for the publishing sector, it was created with hand 1.4 and was developed respecting an effective balance between opacity, whiteness and print yield.
Its main advantages are clear: contrary to the custom of wood-containing cards - darker and with a straw-colored finish -, SCA Frontier has a level of white such as to make it very similar to a wood-free paper.
From Sweden they stated that "The difference in whiteness between wood-containing and wood-free papers has never been less: SCA Frontier is currently the highest whiteness wood-containing paper in the world".
As for prices, the official tables have not yet been issued, but we are able to anticipate right now that the economic savings will be tangible.
SCA Frontier is currently the world's highest whiteness wood-containing paper ”.
THICKNESS - The second feature to be aware of is his hand of 1.4. The greater thickness, compared to wood-free papers (over 10%), combined with a high level of paper coverage, guarantee the ability to reduce the weight of the substrate, so as to reduce the final weight of the supply.
USES - The opacity of the paper - combined with the white point - allows a high-level print rendering, both as regards the blackness and for the rendering of the images: the opacity of SCA Frontier was conceived for the needs of the publishing sector, and the same SCA suggests the use of SCA Frontier for magazines, supplements, catalogs, commercial printing products, puzzle books and notebooks.
“We are waiting for the first samples to bring them to the vision - and above all to the touch - of our customers: we strongly believe in the potential of SCA Frontier and we are convinced that we have in our hands a tool capable of generating large savings on hand-made paper supplies ”, comments Fabrizio Daniele, managing director of DBC Paper.
Raw materials will be changed, reducing costs but still maintaining a high yield: to this, finally, the convenience demonstrated - as always - of the optimized format, to rationalize production costs in a definitive way.
