SCA & DBC Paper
The SCA Code of Ethics is the document that helps us translate our values into actions.
Efforts to promote good business practices, good working conditions and well-being all originated in the Code, but they don't stop there.
To make these efforts concrete, we analyze risks, train employees and evaluate our plants and those of our suppliers.
In force since 2004, the Code of Ethics is inspired by SCA's core values of respect, excellence and responsibility.
Aligned with universal standards of business conduct as defined by the International Bill of Human Rights, the ILO Core Conventions and the OECD guidelines for multinational enterprises, the Code serves as a compass on individual and collective behavior on occasions when employees make business decisions or address ethical issues. The Code provides guidelines for SCA and its employees on business practices, health and safety, employee relations, human rights, nature protection and social commitment.
AIMS
The SCA Code of Ethics will be respected. All employees will receive regular training under this Code.
All supply flows will be assessed from their global risk perspective. By 2020, 100% of our procurement spend will be sourced from suppliers committed to the criteria specified in Sca's Global Supplier Standard.
CHOICE OF THE RIGHT PARTNERS
The more you grow, the more important it is to examine your local suppliers and choose responsible business partners. The goal is to identify risks and develop the social and environmental standards of suppliers.
The goal is to drive shared values and priorities throughout the supply chain, in line with SCA's Global Supplier Standard.
ANTI-CORRUPTION POLICY
Zero tolerance for corporate corruption is our commitment. The anti-corruption policy defines the rules to be applied in order to prevent corruption in all activities under the control of SCA.
A company's reputation is based on the trust that the company earns by managing its businesses and relationships responsibly.
SCA does not tolerate any form of business conduct affected by corrupt dynamics, and has developed a set of requirements and methods for assessing compliance with business ethics.
In 2013, SCA adopted a new anti-corruption policy and assessed the potential corruption risks. Anti-corruption is included in our Code of Ethics and generates the development of extensive training programs in the area of competence. SCA's Business Practice Journals, produced by SCA's internal audit, are an effective way to identify risks in our daily operations.
SCA's reporting system offers opportunities for all employees to confidentially report violations of the Code of Ethics.
